Licensing & activation

The commercial shape

  • Annual contract, billed monthly — per-seat rates from US$199 per developer per month, from a single seat, plus applicable taxes. Band organization fees and Enterprise agreements are on the pricing page.
  • 3 machine activations per named user — deactivate a machine to free its seat immediately.
  • Early access — evaluations run the full product against your own environment, arranged through Contact Sales. No free tier.
  • Cancellation at term end — the contract is annual, invoiced monthly; cancellation takes effect at the end of the annual term; no partial-term refunds except where the law requires otherwise.

Activation

The Studio activates with a license key, delivered by email after purchase and entered in the app’s license dialog. License state is checked online when connected.

Offline (air-gapped) activation

For disconnected D365 VMs, generate a signed offline license file from the customer portal — 90-day validity, machine-bound or unbound. Import it in the license dialog; the app verifies the signature locally.

Seats and machines

Machine identifiers are stored as one-way hashes — the licensing system can count your machines without being able to read their identity. Manage activations yourself in the customer portal: machine list, last check-in, deactivate.
